The Perfect Lakeside Getaway​

Woodland Beach Resort is located on beautiful Bay Lake, a 2,392-acre lake filled with scenic bays, islands, and points. Known as one of Minnesota’s top bass fishing lakes, Bay Lake offers calm waters, incredible views, and endless opportunity for fun. Just two hours from the Twin Cities, you’ll find yourself in the heart of Minnesota’s lakes area. We are 10 minutes from Mille Lacs Lake, 20 minutes from Grand Casino, and 20 minutes from Brainerd. Golf courses, restaurants, shopping, family attractions, and entertainment are all nearby, making it easy to explore or simply relax at the resort.

Comfortable Cabins & Resort Amenities​

Our 20 clean, modern knotty pine cabins range from one to four bedrooms and are designed for relaxed lakeside living. Each cabin includes air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, cable TV, wireless internet, and a private deck with a picnic table and charcoal grill. On the property, guests enjoy a pool, large hot tub, playground, ping pong, horseshoes, tetherball, and basketball. Two lakeside firepits provide the perfect setting for evening bonfires, hotdogs, and s’mores. For added convenience, our on-site store offers milk, bread, snacks, ice cream, and everyday essentials, along with a grill featuring pizza for easy meals during your stay.

Life On Bay Lake

Our safe sandy beach is enclosed by a U-shaped dock and features a gradual slope with no sudden drop-off, making it ideal for families. Spend your days swimming, relaxing on the shoreline, or exploring the water. There are also multiple restaurants in the area and on the lake, making it easy to head out for a meal by boat or take a short drive into town. We offer pontoons, fishing boats, kayaks, paddleboards, canoe, and paddleboats. You are also welcome to bring your own boat and tie up at one of our docks. Bay Lake is known for excellent bass, walleye, crappie, sunfish, and northern pike fishing. With its many scenic bays, the lake remains enjoyable even on windy days.

A Family-Owned Tradition

Patty and Kevin Miller are proud to be entering their 16th season at Woodland Beach Resort. After years of searching, they knew this was the right place. As someone once told them, you can change many things about a resort, but you cannot change the lake. Bay Lake captured their hearts immediately.

With great fishing, a scenic shoreline, and a welcoming atmosphere, Bay Lake is a true northern gem. The mix of classic and modern cabins gives the resort unique character, and over the years it has become more than a business and a place where their family has thrived.

Their children, Emily, Evan, and Briana, are often around during the summer to help make your stay enjoyable. When they are not working, you may find them on the water with friends, making the same memories that bring guests back year after year.

Ranger the Resort Dog

Ranger is a Hungarian Vizsla who has been part of Woodland Beach Resort since he was a pup. Friendly and curious, he enjoys meeting guests and is always happy to say hello. Dogs are always welcome here, with plenty of space to play and explore while enjoying the lake and the outdoors. To help keep the resort safe and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that all visiting dogs remain on a leash during your stay.
